While the option to use either the classic Shaper designs or the Rebel class designs introduced in 4 is one that a lot of players liked to see, the problem comes in that they aren't strictly resprites due to their stats being carried over from their NPC-only status in the fourth game, they naturally start with much higher resistance to almost every element than their Rebel counterparts. On the opposite side of things, the three Shaper classes in 5.The second game added Rotghroths, which can inflict acid, and the fourth added War Tralls, which can attack at range, but both of them suffered from being only available too late in the game, still being generally outmatched by the options in other groups, and having an extremely high essence cost that, if you can afford it in the first place, would usually be better spent shaping a Drakon or Gazer. It's generally meant to serve as a more raw damage, tanky choice compared to the higher range and status ailment focus of Fire and Magic Shaping, but creations in this class are usually either not stronger enough or flat out not strong at all compared to their magical damage based counterparts not helped by the 5 AP attack requirement in the first three games making range all the more important. Battle Shaping as a whole in the first four games' original versions. And for three of the five faction choices, this area is mandatory. And then there are the enemies: large amounts of drayks and cryodrayks, powerful human mages, a drakon, and a gazer boss that, around the time you'll more than likely be tackling this area, will likely be powerful enough to instantly kill most characters. Most faction questlines require you to sabotage the research of the college, which requires either killing the leaders of the area (which is as difficult as it sounds), stealing the research papers (which sets off the alarm, alerting everyone in the area to your location) or causing a gas leak (which causes health drain to the entire area, forcing you to escape the area immediately or die quickly).
